A FLOOD at Prospect Hospice’s Wroughton shop has temporarily closed it.
The store is based at the Ellendune Centre and water started leaking through its roof from a flat above the shop on Thursday morning.
Stock has been moved to the charity’s distribution warehouse.
Susan Hudson-Wright, Prospect Hospice’s head of retail, said: “We were stunned to discover the flood and the team have worked quickly to clear the premises to minimise the damage.
“We are hopeful that everything will be covered by insurance and we will therefore be taking this opportunity to give the shop an overdue makeover.
“We don’t quite know how long the shop will be closed for but our aim is to for it to be brighter and better when our doors open again.”
The charity will be opening a new shop - its 18th - in College Street, Swindon, next week.
