Singer pulls out of concert

SINGER Russell Watson has pulled out of his show in Swindon tonight.

The tenor was due to play at the Oasis tonight but his management has today issued a statement saying that he will not be able to perform.

It said: "It is with a heavy heart that Russell has to postpone tonight's show.

"The show is not cancelled, but will be rescheduled to take place within a few days of the end of the current tour, after the Sheffield date on April.

"As you can imagine Russell is bitterly disappointed to have to do this at the last minute. He has been advised by his doctor to rest due to his gruelling schedule and a slight throat infection before the next heavy run of dates.

"Russell always likes to give 110 per cent on stage and the postponing of tonight ensures he can do this for the remainder of the tour.
