Motorcycle enthusiast Malcolm Bunn died just an hour after attending a bike-training course, an inquest heard.
The 32-year-old, of Eastbury Way, Priory Vale, died on October 8 last year after losing control of his bike near Wroughton.
Four teenagers watched in horror as Malcolm, who worked at the Nationwide Building Society, missed the sharp left corner in Wharf Road, skidded and landed in a ditch across the road.
Just 45 minutes earlier he had been attending one of Wiltshire Police's Bike Safe seminars in Devizes on his Suzuki DR1000, where officers said they had no concerns about his riding style.
Crash investigator, PC Alan Kyne of Swindon's Road Policing Unit, said he found nothing wrong with the road surface or the section of carriageway.
He said: "Mr Bunn was travelling at just 31 mph when he put on his brakes, well below the critical speed for the bend, which is about 48mph, so there was no excessive speed.
"It could be that Mr Bunn was suddenly overcome by illness or pain or perhaps there was an insect in his helmet. The reason for his collision remains unknown."
Samuel Court, 15, who saw the accident, said: "He didn't seem to be going very fast at all. He took the corner and veered a little bit, and that was it.
"He should have been able to make that corner, but he didn't."
Malcolm died later at the Great Western Hospital.
Pathology reports found that he had died of heart failure as a result of the accident. There was no indication of alcohol in his blood stream.
Assistant deputy coroner Peter Hatvany recorded a verdict of accidental death.
