A homeless man was repreatedly kicked by a gang of three men who then rummaged through his pockets and stole what little possessions he had.
Police have revealed the 'rough sleeper' was set upon shortly before midnight on Monday in Swindon's Regent Street.
He was approached by three men from behind and then tripped over, cutting his face on the ground.
The gang then laughed as they continued to assault him while he lay helpless on the pavement.
They then searched his pockets and stole some property from him. They had disappeared when police arrived.
All of the attackers are white and aged around 15 to 17.
The first is around 5ft 8ins tall with a medium build, short mousy hair and was wearing a black tracksuit.
The second is approximately 5ft 7ins, of slim build, with short brown hair and wearing a grey hooded tracksuit top.
Finally the third man was 5ft 7ins also with a slim build and short brown hair. He was wearing a grey and white striped top and black trousers.
