A CCTV image has been released of a man believed to be behind a spate of car crime.

In total two men are suspected of breaking into seven cars in 10 days in the Gorse Hill and Pinehurst area of Swindon.

Officers have warned that the pair are likely to keep targeting vehicles until they are caught and have urged people who have seen them in the area to come forward as a matter of urgency.

PC Angela Restorick, of Swindon police, said the image was taken at 11.22am on February 10 when two men on bicycles broke into a car on the Kembrey Park industrial estate and took a sat nav system and a radar detector.

"We think that they could be responsible for various other crimes involving vehicles," she said.

"We're looking for two males riding bikes, wearing hoodies and carrying rucksacks.
