Man stabbed in early hours

A man was stabbed in the early hours of this morning in Swindon's Manchester Road.
The attacked happened at 2.40am and the injured man was taken to the Great Western Hospital, where his condition is described as serious but stable.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident and anyone with information should call the Gable Cross station on 0845 408 7000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
