A 59-year-old woman has been killed in a fire at a Swindon caravan park.
Maureen Brakspeare, 59, died late last night when her unit burst into flames at the Blunsdon Abbey Caravan Park, Blunsdon St Andrews.
Police and fire attended the scene at East Drive; once firefighters were able to get the blaze under control they discovered Ms Brakspeare's body inside.
Det Sgt Peter Ritson at Swinson said: "An initial investigation was carried out by crime scene investigators, fire investigation officers and by the police and there's nothing to indicate anything suspicious.
"Futher enquiries are being carried out, including an in-depth examination by the fire investigators to establish the cause of the fire. Police are not treating this as a deliberately set fire."
Philip Griffin, a director of the park, said Ms Brakspear lived alone and moved to the park 18 months ago.
He added: "All we know is it's very disturbing and shocking situation for us and all the residents.
"We have no idea at the moment how the fire could have started, she lived there all alone. I don't even know if she had any family."
