9:43am Monday 12th February 2007 in Swindon By Gordon Simpson
A 27-year-old man has been stabbed while on a night out with his wife and a friend in Swindon.
The trio, who are all Portugese, were attacked on Friday night by youngsters outside Toothill Village Centre at around 11pm.
They were approached by a small group, believed to be two young men and two young women, as they approached their red Peugeot car.
During the scuffle, one of the men was stabbed in the stomach.
He is currently in hospital where his condition is described as "comfortable".
Police said his injuries are not life-threatening.
Three local men were arrested following the incident, but have been released without further action.
Police said the four attackers are still outstanding and that the incident appeared to have resulted from a fight earlier in the night at Toothill Tavern.
The attackers are described as white, in their late teens and all wearing casual clothing.
Anyone with information should contact DS Bob Cooper at Swindon CID on 0845 408 7000, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
