Pewsey pupils sow prize seeds

Schools from across the Pewsey Vale have been making Olympic efforts to turn a wheelbarrow and seeds into gold medal winning gardens.

A total of 20 schools will deliver their gardens in a wheelbarrow to Woodbor-ough Garden Centre on Friday, ready for judging at the weekend.

Visitors to the centre will vote for their favourite entry and the winning school will receive a £200 voucher, with £100 for second place and £50 for third.

Garden centre owner Claire Rourke said: “We were delighted with how many schools wanted to join in.”

The results will be announced at 3pm on Sunday.
