Plea after bike smash in Pewsey

THE mother of a disabled cyclist has appealed for information after her son’s bicycle was struck by a car in Pewsey on Tuesday.

The car, only described as dark-coloured or black, did not stop.

The incident took place on the B3097 Milton Road at the Fyfield crossroads at around 5.15pm.

The mother, who asked not to be named, said: “My son has learning disabilities and this is his only form of transport. He had got off the bike to push it up the hill when the car hit it.

“I am just grateful that he wasn’t on his bike at the time. I am hoping there is someone out there with a conscience who might have seen the incident.”

Anyone with information should contact Pewsey police through the 101 non-emergency number.
