Swift Medics and Help for Heroes have each been given £500 following an Oscars-style charity night at St Francis School in Pewsey Marlborough GP and a Swift Medic founder Dr Jonathan Glove said: “We attend the scenes of accidents or sudden, severe and serious medical conditions such as heart attacks and we thank St Francis for helping us to keep working.”

The cheque for Help For Heroes was received by Major David Bartholomew.

He said: “Help for Heroes is about offering direct and practical support for those who have been wounded in the service of our country.”

Meanwhile staff at the George Lane Pharmacy in Marlborough raised £205 at a cake stall for the Swift Medics.

Dr Glover works at the Marlborough medical Practice next to the chemists run by the Jephson family.

Tim Jephson, a partner in the business with his brother Nick, their parents, Roger Kenyon and Margaret Wilkie made up the amount to £300.
