SIBLINGS who were inspired by fundraisers at their triathlon club have raised cash by organising and hosting their own charity event.

Despite being just seven and nine, Eliza and Henry took on the challenge and reached their fundraising goal by persuading 20 school friends to get active for a good cause.

The pair, from St Francis School in Pewsey, designed a special fun run route and gave cash to a children's charity to support young people living with cancer.

Father James Mahon said: “They arranged everything themselves, from contacting the charity, to printing out the race numbers and even baking the snacks for the people taking part.

“They were so excited in the week leading up to the race and were asking what the weather would be like every day. It just shows their independence and eagerness to organise an event like this.” The fun run took place around farm tracks within Pewsey and raised £100 for charity Children with Cancer UK. They both hope to organise more charity events.
