FEARLESS friends are setting out to climb the three highest peaks in the UK for charity.

The group, made up of parents, former parents and a teacher from Great Bedwyn School are training for the 26 mile challenge in May. Team ‘Have we peaked’ will climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England and Snowdon in Wales in just 24 hours.

The group have already raised £700 for charity Dementia UK and Great Bedwyn School and want to raise at least £3,000.

Fi Johnston's grandma was diagnosed in 2016, she has since become a Dementia Friend and said: “This was my first experience of dementia and from my nan being a bit forgetful to having no memory of us was 12 months. We need to raise cash to improve care services for people living with dementia.

"Now that I am a Dementia Friend I always bring my dog into the care home, you see people smile and it really makes a difference.

"We are all terrified but it wouldn’t be a challenge if we weren’t pushing ourselves.

"We are a great mixture of personalities so I think that will work really well.”
