CHILDREN at Easton Royal Acadamy have been warming up and practising their best dance moves ahead of a Zumbathon on March 3 in St John's academy in Marlborough.

Zumba combines dancing with fitness routines to ensure all ages can move and grove to catchy songs.

All funds raised will go directly to helping the Easton Royal school improve its IT equipment.

Previous Zumbathons run by dance company Movida Zumba have raised £1,000 for the school.

Zumba teacher Anna Wilson said: "Dance is an expression, so it actually makes you feel good, all you need to bring along are your trainers and a smile!"

Parent and fundraiser Frances Stevenson, 41 from Easton Royal, said: "Zumba is a really fun way to keep fit and raise money at the same time. My husband even wants to take part but I think that is probably just an excuse to dress up in neon!"

Staff, pupils, parents and the public are set to shimmy over to the sports hall and dance along to the 90 exercise class on March 3 from 10am, with doors opening for registration form 9.30am.

Movida Zumba is based in Elcot Lane, Marlborough.
