TRY your hand at putting out a fire and sit inside one of the big red engines when Ludgershall Fire Station opens its doors for a family learning day.
On October 25, crews will be running drills and putting members of the public through their paces as families can learn about how they keep communities safe.
Station manager Tom Brolan, district commander for Ludgershall, Amesbury and Pewsey, said: “We are delighted to support the Family Learning Festival, as it gives us a great opportunity to show the local community the skills we acquire through training.
“We’d also welcome any would-be recruits, and I hope to have an area where they can ‘have a go’! We look forward to welcoming local families throughout the day.”
Anybody interested in becoming a recruit can find out more details on the day by speaking to others who work in the Fire Service.
The open day will run from 10am-4pm at the station in Castle Street, Ludgershall as part of the Family Learning Festival which is running until October 29.
