A 40-year-old woman from Tidworth, involved in a collision in Bulford last week, has died in hospital.

Police were called to Tidworth Road at 11.48am on last Tuesday to a report of a collision involving two vehicles.

The female driver of a green BMW Z3, who was travelling towards Tidworth, suffered a bleed on the brain and was flown to Southampton Hospital by air ambulance.

A police spokesman said today: "She remained in a coma for three days and sadly died in hospital on Friday. 

"Our thoughts are with her family and friends.

"The male driver of the other vehicle, a blue Nissan Note, who was travelling towards Bulford, sustained a minor back injury and was treated by paramedics at the scene."
