AN 11-year-old boy has been bitten by a dog on his way to school.

The dog ran out of a garden in Wilcot Road, Pewsey yesterday morning and sunk its teeth into the boy’s leg. Police investigations continue.

A woman was also approached by a dog being walked off the lead at Bedwyn Common and was bitten last Wednesday. Anyone with information should call police on 101.

Duncan Tanguay, 41, of Marlborough has been charged with theft and for being drunk and disorderly while in The Brittox, Devizes. He was arrested on Tuesday just after 4pm. He will appear at Swindon Magistrates Court on March 9.

Around 600 litres of diesel heating fuel worth £165 was stolen from an oil tank in Great Bedwyn last Wednesday. Police say it is not clear how it was taken and are investigating. Anyone with information should call officers on 101.

A window was smashed at Velo bike shop in the High Street, Pewsey last Wednesday. Police believe it was damaged by two men and a woman, who have been identified. No arrests have been made and investigations continue.

A man stole several bottles of whisky from Waitrose in Marlborough on Monday. Up to £500 worth of alcohol was also stolen from Tesco in the town on Friday.

A garden strimmer was stolen from a shed in Lockeridge after a padlock was damaged overnight on Monday.

A window of a car was smashed while parked on the owner’s driveway in Ramsbury overnight last Wednesday.

A car parked in a secluded area in East Kennett was broken into and the boot searched on Sunday afternoon. The back window was smashed but nothing was stolen.

Around £400 worth of damage was caused to a car when a driver’s side wing mirror was smashed and windscreen wiper bent while parked in Old Hospital Road, Pewsey. The incident happened sometime between February 12 and 21.

Tools were stolen from a shed in Green Drove, Pewsey after the padlock was broken. The incident happened between February 10-24.
