THIS year Pewsey Vale Amateur Society present the pantomime Dick Whittington at the Bouverie Hall.

The dates for the production are January 15, 16, 22, and 23. The evening performances start at 7.30pm with the Saturday matinee’s starting at 2.30pm.

Tickets cost £8 for adults and £6 for concessions are starting to sell fast so book early to avoid disappointment.

The Marlborough Players is also looking for actors, actresses and backstage crew for their next theatrical production which will take place in April at Marlborough Town Hall.

They are hoping to produce two one-act plays so there will be parts for men and women of all ages, with the final choice of play taking place after the audition process is completed.

Everyone is welcome, whether an old hand or a complete novice.

The open auditions will be at The Bear Hotel, Marlborough High Street on Sunday, January 10 at 2.30pm and Thursday, January 14 at 7.30pm.

The Kennet Valley Amateur Daramatic society has also announced their pantomime for this year - Sleeping Beauty (love across time).

The pantomime will be performed at the Kennet Valley Hall, Lockeridge on January 29 at 7.30pm and Saturday, January 30 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
