MUSIC lovers are in for a treat as Pewsey Music Festival returns with a host of talented musicians.

Throughout the Saturday, August 8, from noon to midnight, there will be live music from more than 12 acts on two stages with the Jon Amor Band headlining the main stage from 10.30pm.

This will be Jon's fourth appearance at the festival, which is held in the field behind The Cooper's Arms, where his father was born.

He rose to fame on the British blues circuit in the early '90s, as one of two guitarists in the Wiltshire blues band The Hoax, before going on to establish himself as singer/songwriter in his own right.

Organiser Liz Boden said: "We're really pleased to have Jon Amor's band playing. Jon is a true Wiltshire musical success story, and he was at the very first Pewsey Music Festival, back in 2007.

“We're also very excited about The Showhawk Duo, who have the capacity to get thousands of people dancing with just two acoustic guitars."

The Showhawk Duo wowed the crowd at Glastonbury with their energetic guitar duetting, which sees them switch from Bach to Bohemian Rhapsody.

Other bands include renowned Yes tribute act Fragile, reggae/rocksteady quintet The Erin Bardwell Collective, folk-popsters I Said Yes, country-tinged The August List, and classic rock group Invisible Vegas.

Spinal Tap stilt-walkers will also feature and there will also be various stalls, arts and crafts demonstrations, a magic show, balloon animals, face-painting, and inflatables for youngsters.

Carl Games and Nigel Wallace from The Waterfront Inn will have an onsite food stall, and there will also be curries from Tale of Spice and wood-fired pizzas. The Cooper's Arms will be serving real ales, and other drinks including soft drinks, and The Italian Job will be selling coffee.

Tickets for the event on August 8 are £10 in advance, from Wessex Print Centre, The Crown Inn, The Shed Ale House, The Waterfront Inn, and The Cooper's Arms, in Pewsey; The Bruce Arms at Easton Royal; and Sound Knowledge in Marlborough; via the website: pewseymusicfestival.org or via the Facebook page: facebook.com/pewseymusicfestival
