PATIENTS at a private hospital have given it their seal of approval in an independent survey.

Results of an annual survey carried out at BMI The Ridgeway Hospital, Wroughton, over 2014 showed that 97.9 per cent of patients rated the overall quality of care as very good or excellent.

The independent analysis, which was conducted by the market research company Quality Health, was based on a sample of more than 900 patients and measured patient satisfaction across a broad range of hospital services.

These included patients’ overall impression of admission, consultant care, theatre staff, accommodation and whether they, as patients, were treated with respect and dignity.

The survey also revealed that patients at the Ridgeway gave nursing a 96.4 per cent rating of excellent or very good, while consultant surgeons and physicians received a 99.3 per cent rating for the same categories.
