Police in Pewsey are warning shopkeepers to be careful where they place charity boxes after three were stolen in one afternoon.
A Wiltshire Air Ambulance collection box was taken from The Post Office and Help for Heroes and Greatwood collection tins were stolen from Marshalls Bakery, in North Street, on Saturday, May 3.
PC Richard Barratt said: “Collection boxes should be kept where they can be seen at all times and, if possible, secured with a chain.
“Most importantly they shouldn’t be put near doors where someone can get away with them quickly.”
Anyone with information should call 101 or contact Crime Stoppers on 0800555111.
