Harry, from Marlborough, is a big help to turtles


Young naturalist Harry Forbes has raised £162 for the Marine Conservation Society by creating keyrings and coasters out of his turtle paintings.

He sold 49 coasters and eight keyrings for £3.50 minimum donation each.

Harry, 11, of Newby Acre,Marlborough, has raised money for the work carried out by the conservation society to help turtle over the past six years.

In total he has raised £600,this year being the largest amount yet.

He was sent a certificate and letter thanking him for his contribution and ongoing support by society’s Adopt A Turtle officer.

“Turtles are a very important part of the marine ecosystem and I will continue to raise money to help them”, said Harry.

Well done Harry! Your interest and committment to this and other projects is just brilliant. I know Action for the River Kennet recognised your work for them this year and there are several other wildlife projects in which you are involved. You've achieved great things already and I'm quite sure will go on to achieve much more.
