SOLDIERS from the 4th Military Intelligence Battalion took to the sunny Marlborough Town Hall steps to complete 12 gruelling fitness circuits in six hours today, supporting the Mayor’s charities, Julia’s House and Home Start Kennet as well as the Army Benevolent Fund.

Town Mayor, Mervyn Hall said: "I’m really grateful to 4MI for fundraising for my charities and the Army Benevolent Fund, a hugely important charity. We’re really hoping that lots of people will come along to the Town Hall and cheer these soldiers on by donating as generously as they are able to."

Organiser of the charity event, Sgt. Chris Shields, said: "We are proud to be able to support these three charities and we’re hoping to have plenty of local support - it’ll make all the training for the event worthwhile."
