Developer David Wilson Homes Southern has announced Prospect Hospice as its charity of the year for 2018.
Paul Crispin, managing director, said: “It is a pleasure to be able to support the vital work being carried out by the team and the work they do for people with life-limiting illnesses is very admirable."
Amy Francombe, of Prospect Hospice, said: ““Last year, it cost £8.2 million to provide our specialist care and support to 6,637 patients and family members in Swindon, Marlborough and north-east Wiltshire. With just 28 per cent of our funding from the NHS, we rely on the generosity of people in the community to be able to continue to deliver our services.”
Last year the home developers raised £45,000 for special needs children’s charity Swings and Smiles through dress down days and fundraising events.
