A GENEROUS shopper who gave a trolley full of food to a food bank has been thanked for their kindness. In total 5,190 meals were donated by customers of Tesco in Marlborough to Devizes and Kennet Foodbank.
Liz Starling, of Devizes Foodbank said: “There was one shopper who took a trolley round the whole shop, filled it up with all kinds of things and handed it over to us there and then. I was gobsmacked.Thank you to everyone who donated, we rely on the support of Marlborough and surrounding villages to make sure there is enough emergency food for people referred to us so we’re very grateful for the way the community pulled together.”
