AN ARTIST has offered a glimpse into the places and spaces that have shaped her as 'Interior Lives' is exhibited at the White Horse Bookshop Gallery.

Artist Victoria Jinivizian, from Shalbourne, studied art at The Slade School of Fine Art and has seen her work in a host of prominent displays including the Royal Society of Portrait Painters in London and at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol.

Ms Jinivizian held a grand opening of ‘Interior Lives,’ an exhibition of oil paintings and drawings last week and has already seen her one of a kind works sold to keen buyers.

In recognition of the theme of the exhibition, she has celebrated the gallery space in Malborough and praised the dedication of White Horse Bookshop manager Angus MacLennan who put the pieces together.

Speaking at the exhibition she said: “The gallery has a really lovely atmosphere. Angus has worked hard to hang the show and spent some time making sure they were in an order that worked. He was instrumental to the show.

"It is the perfect gallery for my kind of work and for me to see all my work hanging is fantastic.

“I was mid-way through a painting when this show was organised and so I will be picking that back up again and carrying on.”

The busy artist also runs life drawing classes at the bookshop and at Marlborough College's summer school.

The exhibition can be found in the gallery of the popular book shop on Marlborough High Street until December 2.
