A BUMPER pie giveaway is taking place on Marlborough High Street, with 100 pies up for grabs for anyone willing to dig deep to support a local good cause.
All people need to do to be part of the pie tasting session is donate on the door on the Wellington Arms pub and then enjoy feasting on a selection of different pies baked by Pieminister.
The event is taking place today until 4pm and will run from 12 noon to 4pm for the next two Wednesday afternoons, on November 8 and 15.
Wellington Arms manager Szymon Kochanowicz said: “I have always wanted to give something back to the community and this seemed like the perfect way to.
“We have 100 pies here and we think there will be lots of people keen to come and support the cause over the next few weeks.
“Each week we will have a different range of pies to try.”
The Wellington Arms is donating all money raised by its pie event to Action for the River Kennet.
