Following a collision between an armoured vehicle and a garage wall, Barn Street in Marlborough has now been cleared of debris.
Temporary traffic lights have been removed after a highways engineer and building control expert investigated the scene.
A spokesman for Wiltshire Council said: "Our main priority is establishing that the area is safe."
Engineers have also taken down the scaffolding after receiving permission from the home owner to enter the garage and make sure more structural damage had been caused.
The armoured vehicle struck the wall at around 3.45pm yesterday afternoon, causing a day of mayhem as the road was reduced to single lane traffic controlled by traffic lights.
