A WATER fight on the fields of Marlborough College erupted last week as children took part in a holiday club organised by the town's churches.

27 Children and 12 volunteers came together for three mornings of fun on August 23-25 held at the Marlburian College, Bath Road in Marlborough.

Organised by Marlborough Churches Together, the holiday club was re-instated into their calendar of events after not being run for several years.

The Rev Dr Janneke Blokland assistant chaplain at Marlborough College, who organised the event, said: “It was enjoyable for the children but also for the adults taking part, the volunteers had great time.

“The water slide and fight on the Friday was definitely the highlight of the three days.”

As well as a bouncy castle, children took part in an assault course laid out on the fields of Marlborough College and on Friday a water fight rounded off the activities.

Due to the success of the event it is planned to return next summer to continue providing activities for children over the school holidays.
