TEENAGERS pulled on their waders as they worked in the water at Stonebridge Wild River Reserve during a volunteer day.
The youngsters carried out a range of activities as part of the restoration of the island at the reserve in Marlborough.
They were taking part in the Action For The River Kennet Stonebridge Get Involved Project.
ARK encouraged them to bring friends and learn from the experts the importance of restoration and conservation efforts on volunteer days on Friday and the previous Saturday.
A series of events, funded by The Local Youth Network, has been running throughout the year.
Project officer Anna Forbes said: “Everyone did a brilliant job.
“These sessions are about young people getting outdoors, trying something new, meeting new people and learning new skills.
“The feedback forms have been very positive.
“I’m so pleased that the youngsters have enjoyed themselves.”
