AN AREA surrounding the Marlborough College laundry room in Barton Dene has been evacuated after a chemical spill.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 8am today (Friday October 7) after the chemical spillage in the laundry room by the estate department.
The spill was caused by an accidental mixture of two chemicals which then resulted in a reaction.
Two fire crews from Pewsey and Marlborough are currently at the scene and ventilation is underway.
An ambulance is also at the scene treating a 45-year-old woman for breathing difficulties.
Update to follow.
