Fire crews rushed to a field in Alton Priors
FIRE crews from Marlborough rushed to a suspected blaze in Alton Priors today after reports of a field fire.
The fire crew received the report at 1.23pm today after receiving calls about a possible field fire near a field of rape seed in Alton Priors.
A water carrier from Ramsbury also arrived at the scene to assist the fire crew.
Upon arrival the crews realised this was a controlled burn and the farmer was keeping an eye on the fire. No action was taken by the crews.
