A NEW veterinary practice has opened its doors in Marlborough, promising to offer a friendly service to local animals.

Vets 4 Pets cut the ribbon to the new practice in Marlborough Business Park, Salisbury Road, on March 31 marking the opening of the new branch, managed by Mark Riggs and his business partner Matt Plummer.

Mr Riggs, 38, of Bristol, said: “The beauty of the practice is that we can see cats and dogs in a quiet and peaceful environment." In a separate part of the practice we have cat condos, meaning they get plenty of space and don’t become stressed.”

Both Mr Riggs and Mr Plummer have a long history of working with animals and plan to bring their experience to the town. “I have been a vet for 15 years, I qualified from London and have focused on small animals upwards of 10 years. Matt qualified in 2003 and has spent his whole working career working with small animals,” added Mr Riggs.

The duo, who also have a practice in Trowbridge, are promising pet owners that they will be offering a friendly and reliable service in the town.

Mr Riggs said: “We really want to focus on customer care and customer service, we are aiming to be the friendliest practice around. We also have a dedicated out of hours service, this means I can be at the practice and also have a life outside.

“We are using this as an opportunity to make an impact on the local area and offer our services with emphasis on being approachable and friendly.”

Vets4Pets is open on Mondays-Fridays from 8.30am-7pm and 9am-12pm on Saturdays.
