RACING memorabilia signed by champion jockey Tony McCoy are among the prizes at a fundraising event on Saturday.

The Friends of Collingbourne Primary School are organising a race night and auction to raise funds to equip a new IT suite at the school.

It will take place from 7.30pm at Collingbourne Ducis Village Hall and the first race will be at 8pm.

The event has received generous sponsorship from local racehorse trainers, Richard Hannon, Richard Hughes and Marcus Tregoning.

An auction will be held during the evening and there will be a total of six races and bets are fixed at £2 per bet.

The event will be introduced and led by school governor, Rev. Jo Reid and the auction and raffle will be run by public speaker and racehorse owner Dennis Fuller.

Tickets are £5 per head, which includes a glass of Prosecco on arrival and cheese board buffet.

There will also be a bar selling wines from wine merchants Haynes Hanson & Clark who have also kindly sponsored the event.
