COUNCILLOR Noel Barrett-Morton has been chosen as the new Mayor of Marlborough for the forthcoming year.
It was announced at the Marlborough Town Council meeting last night and he will take over from current mayor Margaret Rose at the mayor making ceremony in May.
Coun Barrett-Morton is currently deputy mayor and coun Mervyn Hall has been chosen to replace him in this role.
Speaking at the council meeting coun Rose said: “I wish councillor Barratt-Morton a very happy and successful year.”
