3:22pm Saturday 26th May 2007 in Marlborough By Nigel Kerton
More volunteers are needed to act as stewards at Marlborough's International Jazz Festival in July.
The three-day event on July 13, 14 and 15 has become one of the top festivals of its kind in the country.
This year its line-up will include old favourites like the West Country's own Acker Bilk Gwynneth Herbert, who has become an international star since first appearing at Marlborough, and the renowned saxophonist Scott Hamilton.
Red Stripe will be back together with the Slaughterhouse Quartet, Big Man Clayton and Chris Jagger (brother of Mick) with his Atcha Band.
Each year the festival needs more stewards to help cope with increasing numbers of visitors. Bob Moss from the MIJF committee said the stewards played an invaluable role in helping visitors have a good time.
He said: "We would be glad to hear from anyone willing to help for a couple or a few hours over the weekend of the 13th -15th July at one or more of the venues around the town."
