A 36-year-old woman from Marlborough has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a crash in Pewsey near Prospect.
Police were called to the collision on the A345 Marlborough Road in Pewsey just after 4pm yesterday between a white Volvo and a red van.
The woman was taken to Great Western Hospital as a precaution and was later arrested.
A police spokesman said: “She has been arrested on suspicion of driving while over the prescribed alcohol limit and is currently in police custody.”
Drivers were diverted Sunnyhill and Wilcot to get to Oare. The road was cleared of debris by 9.30pm.
Police said today a woman has been released on unconditional bail until early in December and inquiries are continuing.
