JOURNALIST Jon Snow will be in Marlborough next month to discuss the television series Wolf Hall with director Peter Kosminsky.

Fans of the pair will be able to see them talk at the Marlborough LitFest on October 4 about how Mr Kosminsky adapted the novel by Hilary Mantel into the popular series.

The title Wolf Hall comes from the name of the site of Jane Seymour's medieval family seat in Burbage, just outside of Marlborough, which has since been demolished and replaced with a 17th-century manor house.

Mr Kosminsky is a prolific movie and television film director, who was awarded a BAFTA for Outstanding Creative contribution to Television in 1999.

He originally worked at the BBC as a graduate trainee before becoming a documentary director and renowned film-maker directing dramas based on contemporary events, such as the story of weapons inspector Dr David Kelly in The Government Inspector and Britz.

He is currently working on a Channel 4 drama about British Muslims signing up to fight for Islamic State, likely to air in 2016.

Veteran television journalist Mr Snow is the longest-running presenter of Channel 4 News. He has travelled worldwide covering breaking news including the fall of the Berlin Wall and the release of Nelson Mandela.
