PLANS have been resubmitted to develop land at Newtown Road, Ramsbury, into a housing estate.

Rectory Homes Limited originally wanted to build 51 homes in the area but withdrew this application in January, following more than 100 letters from residents criticising the plans.

They have now submitted new plans for 25 homes, made up of two two-bed, 15 three-bed and eight four-bed homes.

The new proposal also includes play areas, 53 parking spaces and a new access road off Whittonditch Road.

So far, the application has already received criticism from two residents over fears it is detrimental to the countryside.
