BEAVERS from Marlborough had a tour and explore of the Stonebridge Wild River Reserve on Monday along with helping launch a new litter campaign.
Marlborough Beaver group joined the Stonebridge Wild River Reserve project officer Anna Forbes to find out about the river and the animal habitats that are there.
The youngsters got the chance to see what mini beasts they could find along with learning about the birds and bats that are on the reserve.
Mrs Forbes said: “It went really well and the Beavers got to ask lots of questions and have a tour of the meadow."
It was also the start of the reserve’s campaign to encourage visitors to Stonebridge to use the bins and not leave or throw litter.
The poster illustration for the campaign has been design by one of the Beavers, seven-year-old Jacob Gannon.
Mrs Forbes said: “As well as looking dreadful it can be dangerous for wildlife and other visitors, particularly children and often ends up in the river.
“We now have put up posters around the reserve to let people know it is not ok to drop litter.”
