YOUNGSTERS at Manton Pre-school in Marlborough have been getting a taste life in France through a link scheme with a pre-school in Mezin in the Lot and Garonne.

The children, who range in age between two and four years, have been enjoying an exchange with pupils at Ecole Maternelle in the French village.

The French pre-school sent drawings, photographs and videos of children singing in English and pictures of their school.

Manton Preschool has also sent photos and drawings as well as a video of the children saying bonjour, je m'appelle and joyeux paques and sing songs lots of songs. They also sent Easter cards and eggs.

The pre-school was introduced to the exchange by teacher Alison Joyce who teaches in Marlborough, Devizes and Chippenham.

Manton Pre-school manager Lesley Carter said: “Obviously Madame Joyce is French and she knows someone who runs a preschool in France who wanted to do an exchange so she approached us.

“The children absolutely loved it and they love having her coming in to teach them.”
