Amber Tatham and Lottie Colquhourn in action
ST John's pupils Amber Tatham and Lottie Colquhourn won the warm-up race for the Devizes to Westminster kayak race at the weekend in the stage from Pewsey to Newbury.
Both are International Baccalaureate students in the sixth form at the Marlborough school.
Lottie completed the race two years ago with her sister and is loooking forward to doing the 125-mile race held at Easter Weekend for a second time.
Both girls are now looking for sponsorship with all the money they raise going to WaterAid.
At the weekend they competed against many other doubles teams from private schools around the country who enter Newbury kayak races as part of their training for the endurance event.
