TRUSTEE of Aldbourne Youth Centre Hazel Keen has scooped a national award for her work in the community.
Ms Keen is one of 67 recipients of the Halifax Giving Extra Award from across the UK and was nominated by fellow trustee Andy Devey.
Ms Keen said: “I do what I do because I am passionate about young people having a voice and firmly believe that each and every one of them is capable of great things.”
She said her work with the youth centre had been a team effort involving fellow trustees, the young people themselves and the wider community.
“I accept this award for everyone who has been involved with the Aldbourne Youth Council charity over the past 10 years,” she said.
