PROSPECT Hospice is looking for volunteers to come forward to help at the new facility at Savernake Hospital when it opens next summer.

As well as qualified complementary therapists, the hospice needs volunteers for the front of house to provide a warm welcome.

The hospice is looking for supportive people of any age who can use their initiative and have good interpersonal skills.

Philippa Huxtable, head of volunteer services, said: “It’s important to get volunteers in early because it’s important for them to get to know the hospice and our ethos so that when it comes to opening the new facility, the new volunteers are able to deliver the same quality of service that we offer in Swindon.

“It’s a really important role for us because they are the first people patients and their families meet.”
