Police teams in Marlborough and Pewsey held a road safety day today focusing on tackling speeding drivers.
The Neighbourhood Policing Teams were assisted by Roads Policing and members of the community Speedwatch schemes.
The operation was a result of residents concerns over the speed vehicles drive at on the local road network.
Multiple sites were set up in the town and surrounding areas throughout the day to check motorists' speed.
PC David Tippetts said: “One of our current priorities is road safety and this operation is designed to show the public that we are listening to their concerns.
“We want all road users to be able to use the roads through the town and villages safely.”
Motorists found to be speeding were liable for a fixed penalty notice for £100 and three points on their driving licence or being summoned to court.
Among those given fixed penalty notices were two drivers travelling more than 40mph in a 30mph zone.
