Plans for the new £200,000 Prospect Hospice outpatient centre at Savernake Hospital in Marlborough will see an eight-room suite transformed into the outpatient centre including a courtyard, welcome room, day hospice group room, counselling room, small group room, medical outpatient room, therapy room, store and office.

The nurse specialist for Marlborough and the surrounding villages will operate from Savernake, along with therapists,
family support workers, bereavement team, education team, nurses and volunteers visiting the site on various days.

  5. Services: Day hospice, wellbeing day, short courses in anxiety management, coping with breathlessness and living with fatigue, carers courses, assessment by a Prospect nurse specialist, family support and therapy teams, specialist medical assessment 
  6. Facilities: Courtyard, welcome room, day hospice group room, counselling room, small group room, medical outpatient room, therapy room, store and office. 
  7. Staff: Staff on site will vary but will include: Occupational therapist, physiotherapist, art therapist, lymphoedema therapist, nurses, family support workers, the bereavement team, education team and volunteers. 
  8. Eligibility: People living with advanced and progressive condition who need help and support to build confidence and coping, carers, health and social care professionals seeking education and training; people who are bereaved. 

 

HOW TO DONATE

There are lots of ways you can help reach our £75,000 target to make the outpatient centre at Savernake Hospital a reality.

You can organise an event at a school, shop, office, pub or club or in your home. You might even want to do sponsored run or just bake some cakes in exchange for donations.
