Street artist Luke Hollingworth has wowed the town by dropping free artwork to promote his Stencil Shed for Shed of the Year.
The Malmesbury artist, who works as a gardener for Abbey House Gardens, placed 50 hand-sprayed pieces around the town late last Sunday, with hopes for more votes for the competition.
The 35-year-old, who goes by the street art name of Syd, said: “Within hours I was receiving emails from people who were really chuffed. I did it to attract awareness and to get people talking and voting.”
His Stencil Shed, which now features a woodburner, TV, settee and workshop space, sits at the end of his garden in Gastons Road.
With more than 200 followers on Facebook, Mr Holling-worth says he plans to make more artwork to give to fans.
He said: “Voting closes on June 16 and I’m making at least 10 more bigger, better and more detailed pieces. I plan to place a diamond encrusted piece combining the monk Eilmer with a monkey somewhere in Malmesbury, with clues on Facebook for how to find it.”
