A motorist who is accused of leaving a man seriously injured in an incident on town's High Street has been released on bail.
Thomas Robinson faces charges of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, dangerous driving and causing serious injury through dangerous driving.
It is alleged the 25-year-old was behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf which was in collision with a cyclist and others cars in Malmesbury.
The crashes are said to have happened outside the Cancer Research shop shortly before midday on July 30 last year.
It is understood the Golf struck two further cars before eventually crashing into a wall at the junction of Foxley Road and Bristol Street.
No charges were formally put to Robinson, of Tetbury Road, Sherston, and he did not enter any pleas during the hearing at Swindon Crown Court.
Judge Robert Pawson adjourned the case to May 3 and released Robinson on bail until then.
