CHURCHILL Retirement Living is inviting people in Malmesbury to join them for coffee and cake to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support at its William Lodge development as part of Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning campaign.

The event will take place at the William Lodge Development on Gloucester Road on Wednesday, September 27 from 11am, where visitors will be treated to coffee, cakes and biscuits.

Churchill Retirement Living has raised more than £300,000 for Macmillan since 2009. It is one of a number of national charities chosen to receive funds as part of the Churchill Foundation, Churchill’s registered charitable trust.

This is the eighth year the retirement developer has taken part in World’s Biggest Coffee morning, which last year raised over £30,000.

Jo Ridehalgh, marketing executive for Churchill Retirement Living said: “We are delighted to once again be involved in Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The events are not only a fantastic way to raise money for a very worthy cause but also an opportunity to get the local community together.

“We have set an ambitious fundraising target of £35,000 for Macmillan this year and we hope people in Malmesbury will join us at William Lodge to help us raise lots of money to support the great work the charity does.”

William Lodge is a collection of one and two bedroom, privately owned retirement apartments, designed exclusively for those in their retirement years, as there are communal facilities on offer, such as the Owners’ Lounge, where the coffee morning is taking place.

The development is set in a central location, a short distance from public transport links, shops and local amenities in Malmesbury.
