A CHARITY gig to remember a well-loved Malmesbury woman will be held on Saturday, October 7, at St Mary’s Hall, with all profits being donated to HEALS.
A memorial gig is being held by Malmesbury band The Dirty Smooth in honour of Ceri Pulvirenti, the Co-general Manager of HEALS of Malmesbury, who suddenly passed away after a short illness at the beginning of September.
Her son Leo, is the bass-player in the band.
Richard Swatton of The Dirty Smooth said: “This is going to be a hugely emotional gig for all of us in the town and the band wants to donate all profits from the event to HEALS. We’d love it to be a well-attended, fitting send off for Leo’s mum and raise a boat load of money for this important community cause.”
Mrs Pulvirenti dedicated her life to helping others and played a huge part in Heals since its early days.
Her family have asked that anyone wishing to acknowledge her achievements should make a donation to HEALS, or come along to the memorial show.
Gavin Grant, Chairman of HEALS Trustees said: “Ceri was a lovely and a very happy, outgoing person. There’s now a huge hole in the organisation, and an even bigger one in our hearts.”
Special guests Big Kipper are supporting the night. Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets are available on the door for £6.
